I received Son's new Social Security card yesterday. It looks about the same as mine, but there are now instructions for children not to sign theirs until they either turn 18 or get their first job. Let's see if the IRS accepts my e-return now.

I have managed to lose both of my children ss cards twice now. If they don't want them signed the they shouldn't send them out until they are eighteen. (mine are lost in the house).
Just got a call from Jeff at HP, he is reading the blog. Said that Ned should not have called me. He said he (Jeff) would call this afternoon...with what sounds like resolution.I'm not going to post about it until I hear what he has to say but thought you would get a kick out this turn of events
Bureaucracy sucks, dude.
I haven't had an issue with SS cards, but the birth certificate for my daughter has the wrong date (as in birth date) and incorrect sex. So according to Ohio's fine clerks office my child is hiding a penis and we're celebrating her birthday wrong...go figure.
