9930 Days

My counter tells me that I have 9930 days left until retirement.

Every two weeks, I contribute a decent amount to my 401(k) plan. Due to the market, I now have less in my account than I did on 12/31 of last year. The amount less is approximately three pay periods' worth of contributions.

The economy certainly will be in the front of my mind during this political year.

I already know I can't retire unless I start to buy lottery tickets and divine intervention takes place...

Sorry I'm peppering you with comments. I finally have some spare time so I can catch up on my blog visits. I've already got a cup of coffee, so you don't need to offer me any refreshments.

I shifted a chunk of my stuff to foreign investments when the USofA started sucking for air. So far it was a wise move. I was also horrified to see that my portfolio included Halliburton, so I corrected that. I might as well be invested with Satan.

Bill, you're welcome to comment as much as you like. Coffee's always on, and we freshen the pot ever half hour or so.
