The other day, we wanted to play a game of Mario Kart for the Wii. When we turned it on, we got a screen that said, "System files are corrupt."
The Nintendo web site offers a pretty comprehensive customer service option, and the customer service toll-free line has at least one pleasant and competent gentleman working there. We'll see how the whole repair thing works out. Nintendo sent us a UPS label, and we sent the Wii on its way Saturday.

Corrupt? Were they taking money from PlayStation, or breaking the knees of Sega?
That sucks that your Wii broke, I haven't heard of problems with the Wii as of yet (haven't been researching it though, not interested in it due to lack of good games). I hope they can get it back to you quickly, I have an Xbox myself and beyond the very first one I bought having a bad power supply I haven't had any problems... Maybe that's because I got the Elite though. GoW and H3 FTW! Team Flare FTL *cries* Seriously...some people shouldn't use flares at all in H3, they should be outlawed like some servers do when it comes to flashbangs in CS: Source.
The Nintendo support site had that particular error message called out in its own section, so they were prepared for it, but I don't know how common the issue is.
On behalf of the gamer nation, I weep with you.
Gdad - if you guys get a Wii craving, you're welcome to come up and use ours. Give me a call if you'd like to arrange a time. (I'll be going to Pgh for a family "do" this weekend).
