The transition from winter to spring always makes central Midwest State look dirty. When the greenery of spring finally appears, it's that much nicer, because it's clean.
Here's a picture of a pile of dirty snow in the parking lot of the building where I work.
Here's a picture of the design created on the sidewalk by a piece of salt that was put out to melt ice.

That's your shoe in the lower picture, isn't it?
It must be hard to keep size 32 footwear from intruding.
Just like Sideshow Bob...
I hate looking at the backyard right now. 6 more weeks, baby, 6 more weeks.
(is it coincidence that my code word is floropi?)
It's a miracle! I can't believe that you found an angel on the sidewalk. I think it is a sign from god. Oh my Amen!
At least your snow is already melting...I grew up in the Midwest, but now live in Fairbanks, AK. We just got 8 inches of snow then the temperature dropped to -20 yesterday. It will be a while before spring comes....damn.
Meghan,
Welcome. Just remember, spring will eventually come.
I thought that first picture was of the road, the pavement or asphalt. That's how our roads look in the spring all pot holy and shifted up. Two season in Minnesota, winter and road construction. I don't know why I live here.
