Foto Phriday - H1N1 Edition

This is the photo of a cousin's wife struck with H1N1. Hang in there.

Here's my cousin's description of his wedding. If memory serves, this cousin has a PhD in math, and he spent a year or so on the Ultimate Fighting circuit or professional wrestling or something.

We got married by ourselves at the courthouse very spur of the moment so we don't have any pictures of that. Which is probably a good thing since I was wearing a Miller Lite T-shirt and flip flops and she was in pajamas.

I was griping to a friend about the handful of doctors in our county who have assured their patients that the H1N1 vaccine is unnecessary because H1N1 novel influenza is not really dangerous.

Friend's response: "Well, they're entitled to their opinion."

He was a little surprised when I bit his head off. We have local hospitals with overflowing ICUs. We have two young women on ventilators who are not going to survive. We have a previously healthy thirteen-year-old boy who has just been taken off his ventilator after five weeks.

They are not entitled to their opinion when that opinion puts the patents who trust them in harm's way.

Best wishes going out to your cousin...
