Open Letter to Parents

Dear Parents of Teens,

If your teens are at a performance, even a high school choir concert, and they are texting, browsing the web, and talking, and you are sitting right next to them, TAKE THE D@MN PHONES AWAY!

They're probably too busy fiddling around with their own phones--I mean, multitasking--to even notice.

If they're doing that when they are teens, it is a little late to be teaching them how to behave in a public performance. That should be programmed from the time they learn to walk.

The same is true of parents who let their kids act out in a restaurant. Harrumph.
