Back to Work

I was the only person on my team in the building today.  One teammate worked from home a half day, and everyone else took the day off.

I had lunch with the woman who hired me into Mega Corporation One.  I haven't worked for her since 1999, but it was nice to catch up.  At my five year anniversary, I sent her flowers and a note thanking her for hiring me in off the street.  She called me, all verklempt.  I guess most people don't do things like that.
